Southern Cross Care (Broken Hill) Ltd is a major provider of care and accommodation facilities for The elderly of Broken Hill.

To meet the high standards of care required by our residents we employ over 200 staff who work in a diverse range of vocations to provide the necessary service throughout all our facilities.

Projections for the future indicate increasing demand for services in care and accommodation for older people and this in turn is going to provide significant employment opportunities for people interested in working in this rewarding vocation.

We are continually looking for enthusiastic and committed people to join our team and maintain the high standards of care we deliver now as well as new services being planned for the future.

In order to provide an appropriate level of service to our Residents, extensive training is provided to all new employees who join Southern Cross Care and includes both classroom and on the job training under the guidance of experienced staff

Some of our career opportunities require a qualification as a pre requisite, whereas others do not. For these roles a qualification can be earned whilst working at Southern Cross Care.

Our caring staff will provide a valuable service to society in general and elderly people under our care in particular.

The skills learned in our structured training programmes will also provide lifelong skills that can be used outside the formal work environment.
